Camping at our State Parks
Check out our State Parks for large groups and/or reunions. They offer enough space for everyone with lots of fun things to do. Harrison Bay State Park offers 128 RV campsites with water and electrical hookups as well as tent-only sites. You can fish, boat, swim, paddle, boat, hike, bike, go bird watching or just play with the kids on the playground, basketball court and swimming pool there at the park. It’s also home to the beautiful Bear Trace golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Chester Frost Park offers year-round recreational camping and hosts such amenities as an onsite shower and laundry facility. With 228 campsites including electrical sites, waterfront, inland, tent sites, and primitive sites, you’re sure to find a fit. The numerous fishing piers and docks, beach play, an onsite playground, volleyball court, calendar of seasonal events going on right there at the park creates a perfect environment to get away from it all and back to nature.
Camping for the non-camper
For those who don’t prefer roughing it in the woods, cabins and lakehouse rentals are available. You’ll also find bed and breakfasts like Whispering Winds. And we even have tiny houses at Sequoyah RV Park for fishermen and overnight boaters. Tent camping can be found throughout the lake and at most RV parks which provide restrooms, showers, and laundry. Primitive camping is a favorite for hikers and rock climbing enthusiast who desire the atmosphere of being in the depths of nature sleeping soundly under the starry sky in a secret hideaway.
